The third edition of the Saudi International Marine Exhibition (SIMEC 2024) concluded today at the Riyadh International Conventions & Exhibition Center, with huge attendance, and the three-day exhibition witnessed the holding of more than 1,500 meetings and 20 workshops. The exhibition also included the signing of nine agreements, the most important of which is the agreement of the Neom Co. with Tabuk Fisheries Co., the agreements of Topian Food Company with the National Livestock & Fisheries Development Program, Pure Salmon Co., Naqua Co. as well as other agreements in the field of localization of modern aquaculture techniques and marketing of fish products farmed in inland waters.

This year, the visitors were able to taste the seafood dishes and evaluate the cooking of several trainees with the chef in the Master Chef contest, and on the other hand, many chefs competed in cooking seafood and evaluating a group of specialists in the field in the Seas Chef Competition, which was supervised by the Saudi Arabian Chefs Association.

This is the first seafood competition of its kind in the Kingdom.
The exhibition aims to shed light on fisheries and their sustainability and highlight the efforts made in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to develop this industry, including the Red Sea coasts and the Arabian Gulf extending for more than 3,000 kilometers.

It is noteworthy that the amount of marine production reached this year to 70 thousand tons, while fish farming reached 140 thousand tons of various kinds of fish and shrimp, and the production of farmed fish and marine fish caught is expected to reach 600 thousand by 2030, and self-sufficiency of fish products is expected to exceed 95%, through many initiatives carried out by the National Livestock & Development Program to support investments.
The CEO of City Events, the organizer of the Exhibition, pointed out that the success of the third edition of the exhibition has exceeded expectations by attendance this year, adding that our ambition is great regarding the  Saudi International Marine Exhibition ( SIMEC ) to be a landmark not only in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, but also in the Middle East in particular that it is the only one of its kind in the region and attracts more and more international exhibitors.
It is noteworthy that the exhibition achieved great success and remarkable attendance, as the number of attendees exceeded 15,000 visitors during its three days, and the number of exhibitors were more than 120 exhibitors, 60 of whom were international, and 20 workshops specialized in the field of aquaculture technology, Algae and the most important investment opportunities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
